Stop yelling. It hurts your throat, and it will confuse and frighten, or confuse and amp up your puppy. He has no clue what you are yelling about, and he is losing respect for you. Stop yelling at your puppy, it is counter-productive.
You need to teach your dog what you want him to do, rather than yell at him for doing what you don't want him to do.
First of all, your pup is way too long to spend all that time crated, and more importantly away from companionship. If you must crate him while you are working, does someone let him out half way through the day to potty? In any case, that means that ALL EVENING, he needs to be not only out of the crate, but he needs to be WITH you.
What you need to do, is put on your rain gear if it is raining, and start you evening, with a good long walk with your puppy. Then let it run in the yard, and throw the ball until you are tired. Now the puppy should be a little bit tired. Hook the leash on, and bring the puppy into the house. Keep it on its leash. Keep him leashed to you while you do your evening chores. Talk to him. Teach him to settle. Teach him to sit, and to down. Reward him. Work with him.
