Hello From Utah
I just wanted to say hi as I'm new to the forum. I've owned dogs before but last week I was finally able to get my own GSD! I'm extremely happy about it lol. His name is Bain and he is 6 weeks old. Looks like there is a ton of great stuff on here so I'm excited.
I did have one question that just seems like I'm not able to find an answer to I will continue to review the FAQ page and puppy feeding posts but just in-case someone wanted to point me in a more direct area I would greatly appreciate it.
It concerns his food. I'm not looking for what brand is best but I know there are specific things you need to look for as far as ingredients in dry food and it needs to be LB and that's where I come across a lot of confusion. Do I need to feed him LB puppy food or is it okay to go to the LB adult/all-life cycle food? And I know to look for foods with no filler, Corn, Wheat, By-products etc... and the calcium should be low 0.7%-1.7%? is there anything else? possibly a list that I can write down and just take with me that will help me look at ingredients and make a choice? As I said I will continue to look through all the posts to try and find out as much as possible. I'm just very concerned with joint issues and hip dysplasia. Thanks so much in advance
