Ears can stand up anywhere from 8 weeks to 8 months. Depends on the dog. And what he is mixed with.
It has to be something with a short snout, cause he doesn't have the long "german shepherd snout". If you look closely his head shape is different, too.
Her are pictures of my pure bred gsd at that age, look at the diferent shapes in their heads and snouts.
And, just a question- how are you already noticing signs of his ears standing up... Just wondering.
