Diesel is now 9 weeks old, almost 10 weeks old. We've had him since 6 weeks and 1 of those weeks he was hospitalized for Parvo. Since he came back home, he has been very loving towards us now and loves to sleep on our chests. He has been very well behaved, until today.
I came home from lunch like normal and let him out of his kennel. Acknowledged him and pet him while talking to him. He did his thing like normal, ate lunch and played with his chew toys. He went to the corner of the area rug and started chewing it, I pulled him away and put a toy in front of him and encouraged him chewing his toy. He immediately went back, and we did this again and as he went for it, I put him in time out for about a minute. He was calmly sitting there and I pulled him out, he was being good for a few and chewing on his toy again. All of a sudden, boom! Same thing, when I picked him up his nose curled his teeth came out and his bite was much harder than it's ever been.
He did the same thing again tonight when my girlfriend went to pick him up from the area rug and corner of the couch that he has started to chew on.
I've read about bite inhibition and Diesel has improved leaps and bounds with his biting. Monday he was around an 11 month old baby and a 4 year old. He did amazing with them.
Any ideas on how to nip this aggressiveness in the butt?! It's only happened twice and I don't want it to become routine for him
Thanks and look forward to everyone's help
