LOL Selzer. I did think of that tarp idea today. It's a possibility. Maybe just that one end corner that always seems to be the target for this behavior.
David, I am so off course I have no idea what any of what you said is! I'll google.
Spirit is 15 months, not yet neutered. He's had one obedience class, I need to get back to that. Got sidetracked with my other dog having cancer. I had to let her go 1-1/2 weeks ago.
Obedience with BFF in the background, I like that. I need to get back to obedience training. I feel guilty, I've been slacking. I'll get better.
We live at the end of a dead-end road so not a lot of dogs passing by. He does tend to be dog reactive, though it's manageable. In obedience class, he's fine. Getting out of the car and going into obedience, seeing dogs outside the training room, he's not so fine.
Having BFF participate in any counter conditioning is not likely. My neighbors stay to themselves.
Fence is very long and 4 feet high. He could probably scale it if he really wanted to but I see no indication of that. I'm always watching him anyway.
Teaching him to ignore BFF...I like that. Not sure that's going to work long term but it can definitely work in the moment. Do you think neutering him might help? That won't be for another few months.
