Overall Remy is doing great. He's a one year old neutered male. Good on walks, at agility, he's also doing well on off leash hikes. Does great with guests. No aggression, just playful and friendly.
But... Different story outside on our street. He barks at the neighbor's dogs and at people walking past. I can tell its not being playful because he gets the "body mohawk." Nothing traumatic has ever happened to him around here and we are friendly with the neighbors.
I want him to have protective instincts but only when necessary. Is he protecting his territory? This is clearly unwanted behavior. Any suggestions on how to address? We do most of our training with clicker & treats although I do corrections when necessary.
