Not necessarily. Straight backs can be in all lines.... depends how the breeder handles their program and their goals (more seen in working lines though... but not always a deal breaker for other lines). However, you won't see sable in the showlines.... which is what tells me working lines. But within working lines, you have different types like West German, DDR, Czech...
Those get a little more difficult to tell without a pedigree to look through. There are certain characteristics that can kind of point you to a possible pick... but that takes a very experienced eye, and even then it's not a guarantee. Some lines are even mixed. I've seen a lot of Czech/WG.... WG/DDR/Czech.. and so on.
