I just noticed my 2 year old is missing a premolar. I rescued him about 4 months ago. I have read it is pretty common in some dogs. Personally, I don't care he is missing a tooth.
My only concern is when I give him bones to chew on that gum area where it is missing the tooth bleeds just a little. Someone told me I shouldn't worry if doesn't seem to be causing pain or if he continues chewing. But I was wondering what would the long term effect be.
Should I be worried and stop giving bones? It very little blood, wouldn't even stain your fingers if you touch it.
