Sage was always crate trained when we left the home up to about 9-10 months, then she stated ripping at the cage and going ballistic, tasting off her claws and chipping a k9. So at about 11 months we started letting her just stay out in the house. She did great! Never a problem, nothing disturbed. Until last Monday I came home and the welcome mat that's normally in front of the door was halfway across the living room and the blinds looking out the front widow were pulled out a little ways and one was torn. It was very weird but I didn't think much of it.
Then yesterday (Sunday) I went to church in the morning, came back an hour and a half later and I couldn't find her anywhere in the house. I checked each room twice before realizing that the blinds on the Window to the back yard were completely tornf off and destroyed and she had torn through the screen and jumped about 6ft down to the ground, and that is where I found her laying in the backyard. Then today my wife and I left for about 2 hrs at 530pm. We stuck her in the backyard this time, came back and she had ripped off and shredded the screen that covers the back door and you can see where her claw marks had torn up the weather stripping.
I need help! I don't know what is going on, I'm sure it's separation enxiety, but how do I train her out of it? I can't put her back in the kennel cause she hurts herself, I can't leave her in the house or yard cause she destroys things.
