Emma learned a new skill. Stealth walking to steal Milk Bones out of the box.
A week or so ago I got a big box of Milk Bones from Sams, and put it in the pantry. While there I opened it up in front of Emma and gave her one. One happy puppy. My plan was She might get one every few days for being good. I used them to teach her to speak on command - she has that one down pat now.
Yesterday I went to get one, and noticed a lot were gone. I then started looking and sure enough found a bunch stashed around the house, in the sofa, behind doors, under rugs, and buried in the potted plants
. I usually keep and eye on her around the house, so I wondered how she was doing this.
Yesterday I found out how she does it. She watches me and if I don't look at her for a while she will get up and very slowly creep over to the pantry door. If it is not closed she will push it open, go to the box, use her paw to open the lid and grab a bone. She puts it in her mouth so I wont see it and slowly walks by me to hide it. Last night I watched her open the door
(It has a lever handle).
So I put the box up and taped it closed. She just pulled it out this morning and pulled the tape off too. I should have gotten a picture of her face when I busted her with the box down and tape off. Priceless
Now it is on the top shelf
Now besides her getting and hiding my socks I need to watch her around the Milk Bone box. What a goof ball
