Back to normal kibble
I'm wondering if I can go back to normal kibble/if it would be a good idea?
When Vader was 4 months old he went through a Foreign body extraction from his small intestines, they said he should have been able to pass it so he might have a sensitive GI. Two weeks later he had brutal Intussusception and lost 2 feet of intestines.
We've had him on Hill's Prescription I/D ever since, my vet said he would most likely need to be on it for the rest of his life. The problem is the price of the food is killing the bank account, he's doing well on it but an 8lb bag is $30 and he goes through that in a week, two weeks if we mix in chicken/rice/green beans.
He is now 7 months old and had been on Diamond Naturals before that. He didn't seem to have an issue, and we still have a bag of it in a sealed container. I'm sure this might be more health related, but I'm hoping one of the diet experts can tell me if they think this would be an issue or not? I don't think the food could have caused the irritation that made whatever he ate impassable.
