In a basic behavioral/obedience and fun aspect..
What are some things that you wish you would have taught your dog as a puppy? I sat down with my mom shortly after getting Judah and asked her to name some things she hated about our previous shepherds - one being that Khoda would run through the door almost tripping us up instead of waiting for us to go through. Others like our first shepherd (we learned early) that because we will be around elderly family with Judah, we dont want to train him the 'paw' or 'shake' command, because Zandra would slam her paw on anyone who sat down, in efforts to shake and get a treat or a scratch. Which can startle someone, or break skin on elderly people.
Are there any things you wish you would or would not have taught your dog when they were young? Or previous dogs that you've learned from?
I'm curious what other tricks can be a hassle to break once you realize how annoying they can be.
