I have taken her to obedience classes but she gets quite stressed in those environments but stays glued to my side. I do a bit of one on one training with her everyday and she is very obedient. Fantastic off leash but even redirection does not help her when she gets in that mode. She will do it outside and inside. She has the sweetest temperament but I am at a loss with what to do next. I have found a video of her doing it so will upload it shortly. She has just been fed and after dinner both dogs are trained to go into their crates for at least one hour of rest. And she will go in and then just fixate on her tail and growl and snarl and then jump up and spin to grab it.
She has been on all sorts of drugs, can't remember the name of them now but they did not help. She has had many courses of prednisone and has started excessive licking on her front legs now to the point where there is no hair growth.
My father thinks there's something in her head and doesn't think she will ever get out of it, I mean there is only so many things we can fix, but he sees her as suffering.
I have tried DAP, which is a Dog Appeasing Pheromone, which did nothing as well changing her diet completely (which has helped with her coat and itching).
