My MILs neighbors daughter shocked the poo out of my last GSD. Charlie respected the fence and the horses. My Lab didnt, but Charlie never touched it on his own, and when the little girl touched it and him, you just heard this loud yelp and see him flying across the yard to my MILs back porch.

He knew to never leave he property though. He would never walk off even if the lot was unfenced. Some dogs are defiant though, like my Lab. He would get a running start and just slide under the bottom tape. It touched him every time, but he didnt care if he got shocked.
