We trim our pups nails at home. He's not the biggest fan of it, but my husband says "Who's the human?" so pup doesn't really have a choice in the matter. We try and make it a little better by giving him a bully stick or some little treat after each clip. And I recommend doing it when he's tired...less resistance. Eventually I figure he'll learn to tolerate it as I don't think they ever really *love* getting their nails trimmed.

It's also easier to do it in a brighter light so it's easier to find the quick. If his nails are pretty long, the quick probably is as well.
