without pulling the dog lead them out of the kitchen and say "out of the kitchen" and as soon as they get past the line you dont want them to cross give your marker word, mine for instance is "Yes!" Keep doing that they will get the hang of it... It only took Diesel maybe 3 minuets to learn this, and then from then on I would just have to say "Out of my kitchen!" and she would go but mostly she never even went in there anymore
