Oh I had forgotten about "the water bowl is a play thing" phase!!! Stella used to always put her foot in her bowl, stick her head in, dig in her bowl, or tip it over. I had to keep a towel nearby because I was constantly wiping up water. She has stopped that behavior for the most part. Every now and then she will do a little dig or head dive, but that is far and few in between. I just didn't keep water out all the time and I raised her bowl off the floor. I also used ice cubes. I think time usually solves this....

Now if the water bowl is empty or almost empty she will pick it up and throw it around!!!
