I did that and got a male. My male was already good with other males and the female a bit female agressive and like the boys. Cyra died of hemangio about 7 months after I got Beau but they all got along great.

Beau and Grim don't get to play though due to a back injury for Grim but they get along - I just have to keep them from playing.

I like males more than females but my next dog will be a female once Grim is gone and Beau is older.
