Default Snow Hike

Haven't been on much, been too busy hiking in the snow. Today was the first sunny day we've had in at least a month, and it was C-O-L-D! I think the temps in the valleys were about 22 degrees Fahrenheit, and up top it was probably in the teens. Fun though, and Rocket got to hike with a dog! This is his first play time with another dog since last spring, I think. I was curious if he'd show a little less interest, but nope.... It was game-on as usual!

Up top here at the saddle, the snow has all blown off. But when we crossed and went up and down some of the drainages, we were postholing to our knees. I didn't get any pictures of that, because my phone got too cold and shut off. We were dumb and didn't bring our snowshoes, and Rocket has been snoozing away since we got home, heh heh. His lady friend is a lot lighter and more lithe so she didn't sink as much as Rocket did.

They played hide and seek around this tree forever, it was hilarious!
