I know breeders and such X-ray their dogs hips/elbows for the purpose of good genetics, BUT would it be beneficial to just a pet GSD owner to do the same? If so what are the benefits and what could those X-rays tell me about the future?

Gus is a year and a half and if it can tell me anything beneficial about what to expect about the future I would like to get this done after 2 yrs. Thanks!
