So I found a puppy I think may be the one. The breeder says he is a long stock coat, but I've been burned in the past so I am weary (my current GSD was from a BYB when I was naive, and was supposed to be a long stock but is just plush). I am aware he has quite a bit of white on him but I do not plan on showing him or breeding him so I do not care. This was him at 5 weeks old (he is now 6 weeks + 1 day but no new photo as of yet).

So what do you think? The dad is a LC and the mom looks like she is a long coat that got a hair cut very recently before her picture was taken. Either that or her hair is exceptionally evenly grown lol. I know that 2 long coats = all long coat pups, however the BYB I got my older dog from sent me pictures of his old dog that he didn't even own anymore saying it was the sire, when in fact he studded his bitch out to a stock coated all black GSD.

*Edit - In the dog's pedigree, the dam's parents were both long haired, so I am assuming she must be long stock coated as well.
