Not technically rotten or dead when they started on it, but both Wiva and the crazy Golden/BC have caught and eaten moles/rabbits/critters.
Wiva tends to paw, stalk, and mouth bugs - no problems so far.
All of them have eaten rabbit/deer poo, sticks, mud, snow, an assortment of outside rubble....no problems so far except an occasional bout of diarrhea.
Watch him - if anything amiss, take him in.
