Here in Australia, Pet Shop talks up KONG chew toys, that the best?
These are blue mottled white in colour, and supposedly the best toy for teething puppies to be directed to for chewing...
I bought two, one cylinder about 1"x 4" with grooves, they say to put something like peanut butter in the grooves for interest... Peanut butter? Not a wild dog food, allergies? Anyway, some tasty paste maybe... Semi-dry sticky meat gravy or paste?
The other is a set of balls together in shape like a snowman fallen over, maybe three inch down to one inch, all hollow inside for a rope through, and again they talk about putting something tasty and smelly on the inside to get the puppy's interest.
Picking my new pup up at 10 weeks old on Jan 15... Already raised 2 GSDs, and want to do better with this pup.. Kongs sound OK? You use them?
Best regards from Australia
