Do you have the resources to enroll this dog in professional training for a period of time? There is a facility here that specializes in GSD's that will take him in for a week, a month, however long you can afford and he needs. They then work with you AND him once he has training in place, and teach you how to handle him. If at that point you still feel he is too much, perhaps the professional evaluation and training will assist in placement.

And you were offered advice before you said you were to kill him. Other posted and asked specifics to see how you could fix it. We didn't all ignore you and tell you how bad an owner you were until you said you were to kill him. We just posted more when you said that because it had gone from you needing to place him, to "He's dying tomorrow."
Also, I grew up with BYBs who trained with physical violence, sold pups to anyone, bred mutts they rescued... It's not a good excuse.
Contact the rescues mentioned. It will not hurt and they might find a home that he would do wonderful in.
