Nope - sure doesn't look like we'll have to!

There is! I fully expect a setback or two, here and there. There may be days when he's just in a mood, and that's fine - we'll deal with it. And I know we still have a lot of work to do. But at least now, with the progress I've already seen, I know it's do-able.

Now might be a good time to add in a stuffed/frozen kong when you leave so he will have something else to occupy his mind while you are gone. A double whammy. Are you still planning on crating?
Yeah, I have to pick up another Kong tomorrow. I was looking for it this morning and can't find it. (Must be one of those things that got lost in the move.) But if he was relaxed enough NOT to bark his head off, or tear at the door trying to get out, he might be relaxed enough to enjoy a Kong.

I don't know about the crate, now, since he did so good today. We're planning to go out tomorrow and again on Sunday to see how he does. Probably about the same amount of time, maybe a little shorter. If he does as well as he did today, we might not need one. But on the other hand, it might be a good idea to go ahead and get one, and start introducing it, just in case there would be a setback at some point.

And yes, definitely - we're not going to let up, now. We're going to keep working with him. If we let up now, it'll go right back to the way it was before.
One good thing is, I found out that mom can take him out on a leash. It really worried me because he doesn't always listen to her and he can get in his moods out there where he wants to pull. But last night, when I was wondering if they'd admit me to the hospital or not, I figured we'd better find out! Turns out he was really good for her. She said he tried to get pully once, found out that she wasn't going to stand for it and was perfect from then on. So I can throw that suggestion into the mix now too, and let her take him out when she's home.
