I agree to NOT allow her in the kitchen at all. If you can use a baby gate for awhile when teaching this. It's amazing how they can learn their new 'boundary' be it when they put one foot in the kitchen your tell them to 'go lay down' and go to their bed in the other room or whatever the 'new' command is.
You want to teach them what you DO want, not just 'bad dog' for entering the kitchen. So a 'go lay down' with a treat initially, then random reinforcement, then no treat just a 'good girl'.
