I would consider gating her out of the kitchen or putting her on a leash so you can control her better.

I crate my puppies when I am cooking, and my older dogs know platz, I use that command to create a long down or a place command. I reward for being in a platz in the corner, and if they break and come where I don't want them, I put them back where they are supposed to be. Not sure how effective that would be since your pup is so small.
